Oldham-based property developer and consultancy Grasscroft Property’s managing director Mike Coulter will be participating in the 970 mile Ride Across Britain in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

The local property entrepreneur has so far raised £1,975 through his JustGiving page for Prostate Cancer UK, to help fund ground-breaking research and treatments to fight prostate cancer, which affects 1 in 8 men in the UK In their lifetime.

The ‘End to End’, beginning at Land’s End and finishing at John O’Groats, has been running since 2010 and will see participants cycle through 23 counties in just 9 days. To prepare for the challenge, Mike has received training from Helen Scott, a World & Commonwealth Champion competing in Rio 2016 Paralympics. He has also been supported by his local club, the East Lancashire Road Club.

Mike Coulter, Managing Director at Grasscroft Property, said:

“Within the past 18 months five people who I know well have been diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer. As a cycling enthusiast, I couldn’t turn down such a fantastic opportunity to set a personal challenge whilst simultaneously raising money for a very important and worthy cause.”
