CREation Property Network Names Regional Panel Members Following Manchester Launch

CREation Property Network, which was co-founded in London by Harri John of Cushman & Wakefield and Rosanna Lawn from Yoo in May 2017, has launched its second regional chapter in Manchester. The network, set up to support young commercial real estate professionals just setting out in their careers with free events, already boasts over 450 subscribers from more than 120 companies made up of individuals from larger firms (55%) and niche organisations (45%).

The Manchester branch was launched at an event at WeWork, No.1 Spinningfields which was attended by more than 75 people based in the North West, Sheffield, Nottingham and Leeds from a wide spectrum of property-related companies. The focus of the event was ‘The Development of Manchester’ with keynote speeches from Greg Miley of WeWork about the future of workspace and the evolution of trends associated with work-life balance and Aisling McNulty of Bruntwood about how its Circle Square development is addressing this shift through developing mixed-use active ground floor spaces to support its community.

This week, CREation announced the appointment of its Manchester panel members:

  • Katherine Almond, Cushman & Wakefield (Operations Officer)
  • Katie Beattie, Cushman & Wakefield (Member Engagement)
  • Joe Martin, Colliers CRE (Event Co-ordinator)
  • Lorna Hepworth, Lambert Smith Hampton (Event Co-ordinator)
  • Cherry Swift, DLA Piper (Partnerships Liaison)
  • Nicola Wilding, DLA Piper (Content Creator)

Commenting on the Manchester launch, co-founder Harri John of Cushman & Wakefield said:

“London is always perceived as the hive of activity for property based professionals and we are determined to change that. We are excited at the opportunity to bring what CREation can provide to a wider demographic.

“We aim to gradually expand our regional offering with Manchester our first location and Birmingham planned for our second. We are honoured by the support we have received from our sponsors and attendees.”

Rosanna Lawn of Yoo and fellow co-founded added:

“We are overwhelmed by the turn out and success of our first regional launch event. Our wonderful Manchester committee, drawn from our sponsor companies, worked tirelessly to deliver the event and we are so proud to have them on our team.

“We’d like to give special thanks to Katherine Almond and Katie Beattie in Manchester, Sadaqat Hussain from Birmingham and our regional co-ordinator Katie Nelson from London and all from Cushman & Wakefield. In addition, our thanks goes to Nicola Wilding and Cherry Swift from DLA Piper, Joe Martin from Colliers and Lorna Hepworth from Lambert Smith Hampton.”

Kate Almond newly appointed chair of the Manchester regional committee said:

“We’re planning to organise a ‘hot-topic’ event about life sciences and its impact on real estate in the coming months which we’ll be working on with Bruntwood and DLA Piper. I’m also inviting anyone that has any ideas for topics to approach us to reflect our openness and inclusivity – we want people to get involved to get the most out of the network.”

CREation London already has an active events programme and has partnered with, amongst others, Future Proptech for its upcoming event on May 2nd 2018.
