Manchester based independent building surveying practice, Gray Scanlan Hill has appointed three staff to its business in recent months. A steady rise in business from both new and existing clients has prompted the decision to recruit further to continue to offer niche expertise.
Guy Freeman joins from Byrom Clark Roberts as a Senior Associate Director, where he has been advising on legal forensic cases and expert witness instructions. Over the past 30 years, Guy previously operated his own practice, FPS Consult Ltd and has held senior positions with Mace, Mansell and Chesterton. Guy is also a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Member of the Association of Project Managers.
Commenting on his new role Guy said:
“I am excited to be working with Gray Scanlan Hill and the opportunity it presents. Over the past 30 years, I have had the luxury of exploring many aspects of the surveying industry and look forward to working with a team of dedicated building surveyors again. It’s also good to be back working with Simon Hill, having trained together with Bernard Thorpe in London in the late 80’s.”
Michael Johnson joined the team at the end of 2017 from Imagole Group, prior to which he graduated from Liverpool John Moores University, where he gained a first-class degree with honours in building surveying. Michael will provide crucial support to the team of directors as he develops his industry knowledge.
Abbie Sizer also joins Gray Scanlan Hill from Citypress, to provide secretarial, administrative and project support to the team. With a creative background, Abbie also brings a fresh perspective on copywriting, marketing and branding.
Gray Scanlan Hill acts for property companies, investors, developers and corporate occupier clients including, amongst others, ceg, Peel, Pretty Little Thing, Newsquest, Property Alliance Group, The Oddfellows, Henry Boot Developments and Beech Holdings.
Darren Hughes, Director at Gray Scanlan Hill said:
